Why “Kid Life hacks” Blog?
Because Kids don’t come with instructions! When our baby is born, we are thrown into this job called “Parent” with no real preparation for the hardest and most important job on earth. Our hearts are totally wrapped around these tiny little strangers who don’t even speak our language! We are left to interpret cries amid interrupted sleep cycles just to worry if they will grow up to be all we hope for them. I am here to tell you; you are not alone!
This year, Wee Care celebrated its 16th anniversary. In those years, we have seen every kind of family and probably just about every situation with kids. In the beginning, when my kids were young, I was always looking for ways to be a better parent. I have witnessed great parenting practices that I took home and used with great success. Sometimes I tried something, and it flopped. And then there is always those things you try on the fly or you do unintentionally that are simply miraculous! Ultimately, I kept doing what every good parent does; I kept looking for a solution that would work with my kids. That is what “Kids Life Hacks” is all about. This blog is part pearls of wisdom, tricks of the trade, and the occasional foolish fumbling that fell into a success story. This blog is excerpts from books we loved and articles that changed lives. This blog is opinion and friendly advice. All kids are different. Feel free to pick and choose what tips and tricks work for you. Some will work and some will flop but we hope that all our kids will be better for it. The key here is consistency and tenacity; parenting with the purpose of training our children to be the best people they can be.
